Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a Per Diem Day shift Security Officer to patrol assigned areas, enforce hospital safety regulations, and report potential hazards in a timely manner.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of hospital security or related experience, a Class D Driver's License, and strong customer service and de‑escalation abilities. Onsite work at 243-245 Charles Street with a pay range of $23.34–$33.37 hourly.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital security or police/security fields is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and written communication skills required.
• Ability to de‑escalate tense situations and work in teams.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints and potential criminal conduct; assist in restraining when necessary.
• Provide protective services and report safety hazards in a timely manner.
• Operate security systems and dispatch personnel as needed.
• Prepare written incident reports and maintain logs.
