Responsibilities

• Performs productive security patrols of the hospital, garage and perimeter.
• Recognizes conditions which compromise security and takes immediate actions to mitigate.
• Reports and/or corrects safety and security violations.
• Mitigates thefts, disturbances, and other criminal incidents.
• Checks visitors and team members wear proper identification badges/passes.
• Notifies supervisor of security/safety-related problems.
• Adheres to post orders for all positions.
• Submits work orders to correct safety/security violations discovered during patrols.
• Provides timely responses to emergency calls for service.
• Ensures policies, procedures, training followed according to emergency situation.
• De-escalates disruptive behavior.
• Maintains control of emotions and avoids taking others' behavior personally.
• Writes accurate incident reports and conducts initial investigations.
• Follows up on initial reports for additional information.
• Preserves evidence and crime scenes per policies.
