Job summary

Qualifications

• CPI training within 3 months is required.
• FOID card required by Illinois law.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate vehicles and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Performs productive/purposeful security patrols of the hospital, garage and perimeter.
• Recognizes conditions which compromise security and takes immediate action.
• Reports safety and security violations during patrols.
• Mitigates thefts, disturbances, and other incidents.
• Checks badges/passes for visitors and staff.
• Notifies supervisor of issues promptly.
• Adheres to post orders for all positions.
• Submits work orders to correct violations.
• Responds to emergency calls for service in a timely manner.
• Follows policies and training during emergencies.
• De-escalates disruptive behavior and maintains composure.
• Writes accurate incident reports and conducts initial investigations.
• Preserves evidence and crime scenes per policy.
