Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Hospital Security Officer in Columbia, SC to protect patients, staff, and visitors at a high-profile healthcare site. You will monitor premises, control access, and respond to emergencies while delivering friendly, professional customer service.

The role requires 6 months+ armed security/law enforcement/military experience, a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Weekly or instant pay options are available.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and stay vigilant for signs of crime, hazards, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, by bicycle, or in a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• Orally and physically de-escalate individuals when needed.
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite facility access.
• Respond to emergencies with calm urgency (fire, medical, bomb threat, etc.).
• May provide patient escort or transport assistance as needed.
