Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, OR seeks a Security Officer for Urgent Care to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors. The role includes 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week), shifts from 6:30am to 7pm, at an Urgent Care location with wages $20.60–$31.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred.

Responsabilités

• Patrol hospital buildings, grounds, and premises regularly to deter and detect hazards and security breaches.
• Monitor the conduct of visitors and personnel; confront unauthorized individuals as needed.
• Identify and report safety hazards, fire risks, and security violations promptly.
• Respond to inquiries from hospital personnel, patients, and visitors; provide guidance and support.
• Maintain incident records, prepare reports, and secure patient valuables and logs.
• Control parking and traffic flow; enforce parking regulations for safety.
• Assist with care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies.
