Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years’ law-enforcement related work experience (police, hospital security, corporate security, reserve police, or military police).
• Ability to take charge and direct others in emergencies or dangerous incidents.
• Electronic Control Devices (ECD) use requires CPL license and specialized training.
• Carry CPL license and successful completion of Taser training.
• CPR/BLS/AED/First Aid certifications as appropriate per policy.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus on foot, vehicle, or bike and deter security violations.
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff while enforcing hospital rules and policies.
• Operate within the Security Operations Center monitoring systems and radio traffic.
• Generate safety and security reports for management and stakeholders.
• Investigate suspected crimes on campus and coordinate with law enforcement.
• Provide security escorts and de-escalate tense situations to prevent violence.
