Job summary

Corewell Health seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe and peaceful environment on hospital property. Under general supervision, you will protect grounds and off-site buildings and ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and patients. PA 330 certification may be required to arrest for misdemeanors.

Duties include campus patrols, post assignments, SOC monitoring, and incident reporting. You will assist in investigations, provide escorts, and de-escalate volatile situations per policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years' law-enforcement related work experience.
• Must possess CPL and complete specialized Taser Training.
• BLS and First Aid/AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus on foot and by vehicle; respond to security incidents.
• Enforce hospital rules, regulations, and policies.
• Monitor Security Operations Center (phones, alarms, cameras, radios).
• Prepare and submit security reports to management on safety performance and incidents.
