Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time security officer at Burlington Hospital. The role involves safeguarding facilities, assisting visitors and staff, and conducting weapon screening with EVOLV technology.

You will respond to emergencies and coordinate with supervisors and law enforcement as needed. Requirements include HS diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of security experience; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years security experience preferred.
• Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safeguard, patrol, and monitor buildings, grounds, and property for the purpose of protecting lives and property.
• Assist visitors, patients, vendors, and staff providing excellent customer services and a positive experience.
• Conduct weapon screening at public entrances with handheld wands and the EVOLV system.
• Provide accurate information, directions and respond to all emergency situations; escalate to law enforcement as needed.
• Perform duties associated with all posts, including walking, security rounds, stationary posts, traffic control and special assignments.
