Qualifications

• Associate degree in criminal justice or security management, preferred.
• Graduation from OPOTA or state certified training as security or police officer, preferred.
• Two years of law enforcement/public safety/security/m military police experience, minimum; may certify/graduate within 12 months; IAHSS preferred.
• Basic police training preferred; experience with multiple computer programs such as Microsoft Office required.

Responsabilités

• Patrol property/facilities by foot, bike or patrol vehicle; respond to alarms and radio dispatches; maintain courteous conduct.
• Investigate and document reports of criminal or unusual activity; follow up; prepare complete incident reports.
• Conduct inspections and document safety hazards; initiate investigations and submit work requests.
• Enforce UC Health policies; assist with enforcement of federal/state/local laws; testify in court if needed.
• Perform safety checks across facilities and grounds; monthly checks of fire extinguishers and panic systems.
• Keep up with trends in the field by reading journals and attending related seminars and in-services.
• Other duties as assigned: doors/gates, lost items, motorist assists, patient restraints, mail delivery, helicopter safety, etc.
