UC Health is seeking a dedicated security officer for University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The role involves patrolling facilities, investigating incidents, enforcing policies, and handling safety checks to protect patients, associates and property.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in criminal justice or security management, two years of law enforcement/public safety experience, and completion of required training within 12 months of employment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in law enforcement, public safety, security or military police.
• Associate degree in criminal justice or security management preferred.
• IAHSS security officer certification within 12 months of employment.
• Basic police training preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Patrol property and/or facilities by foot, bike or patrol vehicle; respond to alarm activations and radio-dispatched calls.
• Investigate and document reports of criminal or unusual activity; follow up; prepare incident reports with clarity and professionalism.
• Conduct inspections and document potential safety hazards; submit Plant Operations work requests when needed.
• Enforce UC Health policies, procedures, and regulations; appear in court if necessary to testify.
• Perform safety checks throughout facilities; monthly checks of fire extinguishers and panic alarm systems.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends by reading journals and attending related seminars; perform additional duties as assigned.
