Qualifications

• Associate degree in criminal justice or security management preferred.
• OPOTA or state-certified security training preferred.
• Two years of experience in law enforcement/public safety/security required; IAHSS preferred.
• Basic police training and proficiency with Microsoft Office expected.

Responsibilities

• Patrol property and facilities by foot, bike or vehicle to ensure a safe environment and respond to alarms and calls.
• Investigate and document reports of criminal or unusual activity and policy violations with clear, concise incident reports.
• Inspect for security, health and safety hazards and submit work requests as needed.
• Enforce UC Health policies and regulations; testify in court if required.
• Perform safety checks, monthly fire extinguisher and alarm system reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of trends in security and participate in related trainings.
• Other duties as assigned by department management, including door/Gate control and handling lost items.

Education

Associate degree in criminal justice or security management

OPOTA or state certified training academy completion

IAHSS certification within 12 months
