Job summary

Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA is hiring for Security Officer roles on a full-time, variable shift basis. This on-site position reports to Security leadership and involves protecting patients, staff, and visitors while enforcing policy and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or two (2) years of work experience in a healthcare setting, or related college coursework deemed relevant to position
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

Responsibilities

• Perform security duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Enforce Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations; investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PHC staff, visitors, staff, and property; respond and assist in restraining patients; detain individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; provide protective services to high-risk areas.
• May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.
