Job summary

Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA is seeking multiple full-time Security Officer positions for variable shifts. You will protect patients, visitors, staff and facilities, enforce hospital policies, monitor access, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of security/military experience or 2 years in healthcare settings, and may be asked to drive; a valid driver license and auto insurance must be provided if requested.

This posting is for multiple openings of Security Officer at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA. We are hiring for Full-Time, Variable Shift opportunities.

The Security Officer receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PHC staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provides protective services to high-risk areas. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.

Required Qualifications

• One (1) year of Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or two (2) years of work experience in a healthcare setting, or related college coursework deemed relevant to position
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, History, or English
• Prior experience in healthcare setting
