Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, and implement GBMC Security policies and procedures.
• Post-hire CPR/RQI, Stop the Bleed and de-escalation training within two weeks of hire; maintain thereafter.
• Maryland Security Guard license required within 90 days; license must be maintained throughout employment.
• EMTALA training required and completed in probationary period.
• GBMC Workplace Violence Prevention training required within new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hospital security and protection of people and property.
• Report safety concerns and security breaches in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with patients, visitors and staff.
• Answer questions and assist patients, staff and visitors; greet warmly.
• Answer phones or greet people in a professional manner.
