Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare seeks a Phlebotomy Technician focused on safety. Protect staff, patients, visitors, and property, with rapid emergency response and support for Incident Command and hazardous materials handling on campus and offsite properties.

The role requires a high school diploma, an Illinois driver/fleet license, and basic computer skills, plus training through EOAM, Taser, FEMA courses, and Level I–III progression.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois driver's license meeting SIH Driver and Fleet requirements.
• Basic computer skills; read and write detailed reports.
• Experience in public service; security experience preferred.
• Level I training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Serve as visible deterrent to maintain safety and security.
• Respond quickly to emergency and critical situations.
• Assist in Incident Command, duress alarms and hazardous materials handling.
• Monitor premises and operate security systems; document incidents.
