Allied Universal in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Care Area Security to protect patients, visitors and staff. This unarmed patrol role involves monitoring access, responding to emergencies, and delivering exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.

You will work a day schedule with rotating shifts, meet vaccination requirements, and be able to work in a hospital morgue.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following facility protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and access-related questions as needed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and response details to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
