Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal history considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing per state/local laws and regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly and contact appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and provide directions to patients and staff.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Clinical Area Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, providing directions and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Be comfortable working in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
