Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital in Independence, MO to safeguard patients, visitors, and staff within a healthcare setting. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism while providing excellent customer service.

Position is full-time with a daytime to evening schedule. Applicants must meet basic security requirements, pass vaccination and background checks, and be able to work around hospital morgues.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Ability to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Able to restrain individuals.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Hospital in Independence, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and patient or visitor concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
