Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Security Lieutenant to join our health system team. As a trusted hospital security leader you will protect patients, visitors and staff while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

We value service, compassion, and integrity as we deliver exceptional care. Eligible candidates should bring law enforcement or healthcare security experience, a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and a Maryland driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two to four years in law enforcement or public contract security, healthcare security preferred.
• Attend IAHSS Healthcare Security Officer training when offered.
• Maryland Driver’s License or adjacent state license required.
• Must be able to obtain a Special Police Commission through MD State Police.
• CPR certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide a secure environment for patient care functions of the Medical Center.
• Protect patients, visitors, staff, buildings, property and grounds.
• Fulfill Lieutenant-Operations duties when required.
