Job summary

Baptist Health Lexington is hiring a Manager, Security to lead the hospital's Security Services across the campus and affiliated facilities. The role focuses on developing security strategies, emergency preparedness, and supervising security personnel to maintain a safe environment.

You will manage surveillance systems, investigations, and interdepartmental coordination with leadership, facilities, and local law enforcement to ensure swift incident response and ongoing safety improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years’ experience in security leadership or related field.
• 3-5 healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Driver's License (no violations in 2 years).
• CHSO certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of Security Services across the hospital campus and affiliated facilities.
• Develop and implement security strategies, emergency preparedness plans, and physical security programs.
• Oversee security personnel, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Manage security systems including surveillance, access control, alarms, and other technologies.
• Lead investigations, incident responses, risk assessments, and security improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, Facilities, law enforcement, and emergency response agencies.
• Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and operational performance while supporting organizational goals.
• Foster a culture of safety, customer service, and continuous improvement across Security team.
