Job summary

Marion Health is seeking a dedicated security professional to oversee hospital security operations, safety plans and on-site/off-site protection. The role includes emergency dispatch coordination, incident reporting, and collaboration with clinical staff to ensure patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities cover hazmat readiness, anti-abduction systems, and a strong emphasis on professional customer service for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Indiana operator's license and proof of insurance coverage.
• BLS Certification or must obtain during Orientation and prior to reporting to department.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare terminology.

Responsibilities

• Operate comprehensive safety plans, processes and security for hospital facilities.
• Assume duties for Central Monitoring: Police Dispatch, Emergency Dispatching, and hospital communication.
• Assist with hazmat/patient decontamination, bioterrorism response, and lost & found program.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service to patients and visitors.
• Maintain infant/child anti-abduction system (HUGS) and weapon detection system.
