Job summary

Renown Health seeks a Security Officer to ensure safety for employees, patients and visitors at all facilities. You will respond to calls, file reports, protect confidentiality, and promote a secure environment aligned with hospital values.

This role requires knowledge of security principles, 1 year of security experience, and willingness to train in handcuffing, OC spray, and de-escalation. State and federal interactions may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree preferred; college degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Experience: understanding of police and security principles; 1 year in law enforcement/security desirable; healthcare security desirable.
• Licenses/certs: valid driver's license; IAHSS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls and maintain records; prepare reports for state and federal agencies as required.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and promote a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Build cooperative security programs across departments using current security technologies.
• Cross-train as a security dispatcher and participate in ongoing departmental training.
