Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments in accordance with hospital and departmental guidelines.
• Obtains and verifies all demographic, financial, and clinical information.
• Provides information to patients, physicians, and office personnel regarding appointment scheduling and preparation for outpatient testing procedures.
• Answers calls and messages; manages transcription queue in EMR.
• Performs timely scanning of medical record documents into the EMR.
• Faxes or mails reports to provider if electronic contact is not an option.
• Maintains knowledge of current insurance requirements including governmental programs.
• Routinely performs in a calm and professional manner and supports continuous improvement.
