Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Security Officer for Rice Memorial Hospital. You will monitor and protect patients, staff, guests and property, preserve peace, prevent crime and detain violators in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include responding to emergency codes, patrolling parking lots, conducting rounds, writing reports, and liaising with law enforcement. Training and shift differentials apply; bonus incentives are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in security, policing, or law enforcement preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in a health care setting.
• Minimum EMR training within 3 months of hire.
• Minnesota driver’s license with good driving record required.
• Fingerprinting per MN Statute 326.336.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card required prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to hospital emergency codes.
• Patrol parking lots and clinics.
• Conduct daily rounds and monitor at‑risk patients.
• Write incident reports and document irregularities.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and participate in trainings.
