Job summary

South Texas Health System in McAllen, TX seeks an Administrative RN supervisor to lead nursing staff in the absence of administration. The role interacts with hospital and ancillary departments to address patient care concerns and facilitate resolutions.

The incumbent maintains performance standards, supports weekend/holiday/evening/night/on-call shifts, and oversees adherence to the organization’s policies and compliance program.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hospital RN experience required (Behavioral requires 2 years of hospital RN experience).
• 1 or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and reporting suspected issues.

Responsibilities

• Administrative representative for the organization when administration is not present.
• RN supervisor shall oversee and guide nursing employees under their supervision.
• Interact with hospital staff and ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in resolutions.
• Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills.
• Routinely works weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and/or on-call/call-back status.
