Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related health field required.
• Minimum two years of risk management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Certification as Health Care Risk Manager is recommended but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer the Hospital Risk Management Program.
• Implements a Risk Identification System for data collection and analysis.
• Develops procedures for safety and loss prevention based on incident data.
• Disseminates safety information regarding toxic substances, hazards and carcinogens.
• Enforces safety regulations and codes with department heads.
• Measures program effectiveness using established goals.
• Conducts building and grounds surveys to detect hazards and code issues.
• Investigates patient grievances related to care and safety.
• Implements incident reporting system for adverse events.
• Coordinates risk management training for new hires and staff.
