Job summary

UF Health seeks a Clinical Risk Manager to assist the Hospital Risk Manager in developing and implementing risk management processes compliant with the Florida Administrative Code. You will coordinate surveys, create action plans, lead investigations, perform root cause analyses, and maintain the reporting system with support from Patient Relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CPHRM certification within 1 year of hire.
• Alternative: advanced degree in health law or a law degree qualifies.
• One of: Florida Health Care Risk Management Certification or 120-hour program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of risk management processes to meet Florida Administrative Code requirements.
• Coordinate regulatory/accrediting surveys and development of action plans to maintain compliance.
• Conduct occurrence investigations and root cause analyses with actionable follow-up.
• Maintain occurrence reporting system and related databases; support Patient Relations investigations and risk mitigation with self-insurance program.

Florida Health Care Risk Management Certification

120-hour Risk Management educational program
