Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Refrigeration Technician I to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and on‑demand repairs for hospital refrigeration equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will document all service activities in work orders, coordinate with facilities and vendors, install or replace equipment as needed, and provide technical direction to junior staff while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of refrigeration service experience.
• Hospital environment experience preferred.
• EPA certification highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration equipment to support a safe environment.
• Document equipment problems and completed work in work orders.
• Install and replace refrigeration equipment following blueprints and specifications.
• Coordinate projects and provide technical direction to refrigeration technicians and vendors.
• Maintain inventory according to departmental requirements.
