Job summary

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Receptionist to welcome guests, answer calls on the main switchboard, and respond to routine questions in a professional and timely manner.

The role includes receiving visitors, directing them, handling multi-line calls, paging announcements, and maintaining a courteous front-desk environment. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities across UHS locations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience operating multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment, and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
• Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Receive hospital visitors, ascertain needs and direct visitors appropriately; ensure that all visitors sign in.
• Answer and disseminate incoming calls on the switchboard in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Utilize the paging system to make announcements as required.
• Promote a positive working environment and guest relations.
