Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years' security/healthcare experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer or work processing knowledge.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Must pass criminal background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Patrols on foot and by vehicle to protect Medical Center properties and ensure safety.
• Investigates and documents incidents and accidents; completes shift activity reports.
• Monitors visitors; addresses unauthorized persons as needed.
• Conducts fire drills and documents events as directed by safety leadership.
• Acts as liaison with law enforcement, fire department, and other agencies.
• Inspects and maintains security systems as directed.
• Monitors parking areas; issues warnings and tow notices as required.
• Assists with transport of the deceased and documents patient information.
• Responds to staff requests for assistance; restrains patients as needed.
• Notifies Director of Public Safety of maintenance needs.
• Records and secures patient valuables and lost/found items.
• Enforces hospital ID program compliance.
• Performs door lock/unlock duties as appropriate.
• Leads daily activities in absence of a supervisor.
