Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Public Safety Officer for Glenview, IL. This part-time, per diem position involves varied shifts at Glenbrook Hospital and travel to other sites as needed.

Responsibilities include patrolling, incident reporting, directing traffic, assisting patients and visitors, and maintaining safety and security of hospital property. Requires a high school diploma and security experience; CPR/FOID, CPI, and IAHS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year in a customer-focused service-based organization.
• Experience in security or protective services is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide unarmed security/safety services under supervision.
• Patrol facilities and grounds on foot or by vehicle.
• Report incidents or losses and involve police when needed.
• Respond to service calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist visitors with directions and escort when appropriate.
• Direct vehicle traffic to prevent congestion and issue parking citations when needed.
• Physically restrain individuals when necessary and coordinate with authorities.
• Inspect doors, alarms, and equipment to ensure proper operation.
