Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Plant Operator I to perform construction, maintenance, and installation duties under engineering leadership, ensuring a safe, compliant hospital environment.

You will troubleshoot, prioritize repairs, read schematics, and guide the physical plant team in operation and upkeep of building systems, with a focus on reliability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Two years of experience in Plant Operations required.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical plant construction and maintenance services for hospital facilities under engineering management.
• Assess, prioritize, troubleshoot, and repair facility components requiring design, life-cycle planning, repair, or installation.
• Lead the physical plant team in operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of building components to ensure a safe hospital environment.
