Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Plant Operator I to contribute to reliable facility operations across our campus. You will support maintenance, repairs, and upgrades under engineering leadership to keep patient care environments safe and compliant.

Two years in acute healthcare and Plant Operations are required; schematics/blueprints reading and a valid state driver’s license are essential. A Plant Operator certificate or apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in Plant Operations required.
• Plant Operator or equivalent certificate preferred.
• Operator apprenticeship preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical plant construction and maintenance services for hospital facilities under engineering senior management.
• Assesses, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and repairs facility components.
• Leads the physical plant team in operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of building components and equipment.
