Job summary

Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA, is seeking a hospital plant maintenance technician to support the Plant Operations Director and staff. Responsibilities include completing scheduled maintenance, and operating and repairing boilers, HVAC, and other mechanical systems in a hospital setting.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, CPI training, and 2+ years in healthcare maintenance. Prior Operating Engineers license or EPA 608 certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPI training preferred.
• Healthcare maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Able to register within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete maintenance work orders for hospital systems.
• Operate, maintain and repair boiler, HVAC, lighting, power, water and related equipment.
• Assist in on-call rotations and respond to emergency repairs.
• Instruct or lead contract workers as needed.
