Job summary

Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Plant Operations II Tech / HVAC to operate, maintain and repair hospital mechanical systems, including boilers and air conditioning. You may supervise other technicians and participate in on-call emergency responses to ensure patient safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Certificate with universal upgrade within one year, and 4 years of HVAC experience at Journeyman level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Certificate is required; upgrade within one year.
• Journeyman-level HVAC experience with hospital facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair boiler, HVAC, ventilation, lighting and power equipment.
• Assist Plant Operations Director and staff on projects and preventive maintenance.
• Provide security duties during daytime hours and respond to emergencies as part of on-call rotation.
• Maintain EPA 608 compliance and recordkeeping.
