Job summary

Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA, seeks a Plant Operations Manager to lead the Plant Operations Department at the hospital and offsite locations. You will direct maintenance, safety, security, and environment of care while supporting construction and remodel projects.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in plant operations and 3+ years in leadership; CHFM designation a plus. Responsibilities include budget management, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Plant Operations preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of Hospital plant operations and standards (TJC, CMS).
• Experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, Life Safety Code, security and current standards.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage Plant and Security Staff.
• Prepare and manage Annual Plant Operations budget.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
• Project and Construction management and oversight.
• Maintain compliance with building codes and guidelines.
• Coordinate license and insurance monitoring for Contractors and Vendors.
• Conduct regular inspections of Life Safety Systems (fire extinguishers, sprinkler, alarms).
• Prepare and obtain bids for capital projects.
• Maintain exterior campus properties including landscaping and lighting.
• Develop and maintain safety and disaster plans.
