Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer to plan, organize, and coordinate maintenance activities under the direct supervision of the Plant Operations & Maintenance Manager. You will supervise minor projects and oversee preventive maintenance of building systems and equipment across the campus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate maintenance activities under supervision.
• Supervise minor projects and general corrective/preventive maintenance of equipment and building systems across the PIH Health Hospital campus.
• Operate and maintain stationary boilers, chillers, electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Identify potential problems during shift rounds and implement corrective actions with follow-through.
