Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a skilled Operating Engineer to support plant operations across the campus. Under supervision, you will plan, organize and coordinate maintenance tasks, oversee minor projects, and perform preventive maintenance on building systems.

The role requires 2–3 years of Operating Engineer experience, a valid California driver's license, and a willingness to work a variable shift in a demanding hospital environment, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience as Operating Engineer.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Job description

Under direct supervision of the Plant Operations & Maintenance Manager when performing planning, organizing and coordination, and supervision of minor projects and general corrective and preventive maintenance of equipment and building systems throughout the PIH Health Hospitalcampus as directed.Operates and maintains stationary boilers, chillers, electrical and mechanical equipment throughout the PIH Health Hospitalcampus.
