Job summary

The Plant Operations Director at Porter Medical Center leads the Engineering/Maintenance Department across PMC locations, ensuring life safety, regulatory compliance, and safe, reliable infrastructure.

Responsibilities include planning, directing, and supervising maintenance activities, coordinating with UVM Health Network facilities leaders, and providing coaching and performance management to the Plant Operations team. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Facilities Management experience required.
• Healthcare facility experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boilers, and safety management.
• Professional licensure preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering/Maintenance Department across PMC locations and Helen Porter.
• Plan, organize, direct, and supervise maintenance activities to maintain life safety compliance and safe infrastructure.
• Coordinate with UVM Health Network facilities leadership and other leaders on facility-related projects and safety concerns.
