Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Chief Plant Operations Stationary Engineer to lead the hospital's Plant Operations Team. This full-time role focuses on supervising facilities staff, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safe operation of boilers and power systems.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, scheduling work, orienting new staff, and maintaining critical building systems with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training required.
• City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License required.
• Proficiency in several trades is essential.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Proficiency in building maintenance techniques.
• Experience operating elevators and emergency power generators.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in monitoring hospital facilities, equipment and staff.
• Submit work schedules, delegate assignments to engineer personnel as approved by the Director.
• Orient new employees and contractors in plant operations functions.
• Perform maintenance involving inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning on boilers, hot water heating systems, and air handling units.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment to access and replace defective parts.
• Other duties as assigned by director.
