Job summary

Nazareth Hospital is seeking a Chief Plant Operations Stationary Engineer to join our Plant Operations Team. This full-time, 40 hours per week, day-shift position is located at Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia.

Responsibilities include supervising engineering staff, coordinating schedules, orienting new employees, and maintaining boilers, hot water systems, AHUs, and generators. A valid City of Philadelphia Class A license and 5 years supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate and/or vocational training.
• City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License.
• Proficiency in several trades.
• Blueprints and working from drawings.
• Building maintenance techniques.
• Operations of elevators and emergency power generators.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in monitoring and supervising hospital facilities, equipment and staff.
• Submit work schedules and delegate assignments to engineering personnel.
• Orient new employees and contractors in plant operations functions.
• Maintain boilers, hot water heating systems and air handling units.
• Dismantle machinery to access and replace worn parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the director.
