The role requires a high school diploma, technical training, familiarity with basic mechanical tools, and 3–5 years in Plant Operations. Maryland licensure or intent to obtain, and EPA Universal CFC certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with basic mechanical tools.
• Three to five years’ experience in Plant Operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on boiler and HVAC equipment; maintains boiler room cleanliness.
• Rounds boiler room and auxiliary spaces to monitor equipment; performs safety tests and records readings.
• Checks water levels, collects samples, and tests chemical content.
• Maintains reports and logs per policies.
• Reports malfunctions and uses CMMS for documentation.
• Monitors building climate via energy management system.
• Repairs plumbing fixtures and assists with related tasks.
• Electrical maintenance of outlets, switches, circuits, fixtures.
• Maintains HVAC components including AC units, fans, ductwork, and controls.
• Disposes of hazardous waste per regulations.
