Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an Engineer III for Boiler/HVAC responsibilities. This Full-Time night shift role requires MD Grade 1 license and entails monitoring boilers, chillers, and climate-control systems, plus routine testing and maintenance.

The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and operate within state safety standards. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• MD Grade 1 Engineer license is required.
• 4-year mechanical engineering degree or PE licensure is acceptable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to read blueprints and manipulate complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain facility's boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, and related systems equipment.
• Perform all Maryland state code required equipment daily testing and manipulations.
• Make routine shift tours of facility's mechanical rooms.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance as required.
• Install, test, and repair equipment according to standard practices and safety regulations.
• Change and/or adjust all equipment system related to maintaining building climate control.
