Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist I to draw quality blood samples in a hospital setting in Zeeland, MI. You will engage with patients, explain procedures, and maintain specimen integrity with adherence to safety and confidentiality policies.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, data entry, and teamwork across inpatient, outpatient, and ED environments. A High School diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred, with on-call/on-site duties and potential for shift

Qualifications

• Proficient phlebotomy skills incl. pediatric, geriatric & capillary collections.
• Flexible and available weekends/holidays/on-call/overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples.
• Label and process specimens per laboratory protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy carts/work areas.
• Data entry and processing specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing as required.
• Communicate with patients, nursing staff and lab personnel; adhere to safety policies.
