Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist for inpatient hospital settings in Riverside, CA. You will perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection across all ages, including pediatric and critical care, while ensuring strict safety and compliance.

The role includes training patient service staff, supporting multiple hospital locations, and working across three shifts with potential same-day call-ins. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity within Riverside region.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital inpatient setting.
• Experience with pediatric, ICU, and high-volume environments.
• Proficient in venipuncture and capillary blood collection across age groups.
• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance standards in hospital settings.
• Ability to train and orient patient service staff.
• Willingness to work across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for all age groups.
• Conduct pediatric collections with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.
• Handle difficult blood draws in high-acuity settings.
• Process specimens per hospital and lab protocols.
• Maintain and reinforce safety/compliance standards among staff.
• Provide orientation and training for patient service staff.
• Work across Riverside region facilities and participate in shift bidding.
