Job summary

Actalent in Riverside, CA seeks a Phlebotomist I (Float) to perform venipunctures and specimen handling across multiple patient service centers. You will travel between Chino, Eastvale, Riverside and Upland to support operations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Maintain accurate data in laboratory systems and MS Office, comply with OSHA/DEP regulations, and provide compassionate patient care across sites.

Excellent punctuality and attention to detail are essential for this contract role.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory systems.
• Ability to travel between locations as float across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and blood draws following procedures and safety protocols.
• Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens with proper identification and handling.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection process to patients.
• Verify accuracy of requisitions and labels before processing.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and store specimens per test orders.
• Transport and package specimens safely for delivery.
• Update patient information and perform data entry in lab systems.
