Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join the team at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, AL. Work schedule is Monday to Friday 2:00pm–10:30pm with rotating Saturdays, supporting blood collections, specimen handling and patient services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
