Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Mobile Infirmary Hospital in Mobile, AL. This role performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, ensuring accurate data entry and compassionate patient service across rotating shifts.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or trained background, and reliable transportation with flexibility for overtime and travel to additional sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
