Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our Mobile Infirmary Hospital team in Mobile, AL. This role involves phlebotomy collections and patient services in a hospital setting.

The position requires phlebotomy certification/education or relevant training, and a commitment to accurate data entry and patient care. Travel to additional sites may be required, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
