Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our Lab team. You will perform blood draws from inpatients and outpatients, label samples, and ensure proper pre-analytic handling in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires patient interaction, accurate data entry in EPIC, and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines. Shifts include part-time 20 hours/week or full-time 40 hours/week with a 2:30pm-11pm schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy training or certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy or related healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and specimen collection for outpatients and inpatients.
• Conducts sample processing, data entry in EPIC, and insurance/demographic verification.
• Maintains specimen integrity and proper labeling according to policies.
• Assists in patient education and communicates with physicians and staff.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and protects patient confidentiality.
